I prepared a poetical site
I thought it was alright
come to be it was not
I found out it was naught
I have managed to send
all my poems I’d penned
to the part that is marked trash
I sit here feeling abashed
but it was for a good cause
at least I think it was

I wouldn't imagine any good can come from "trashed" poetry Jerry, but I would defend to the death the poet's right to do so.

"Poetical site"...Have you also been there? I'd visit for certain if you did.

More feelings and fewer words please

"Have you also been there?" Yes, Ari, it was my site. Thank you for taking the time to read and comment.

There are quite a few poetry sites, some active and sadly more that are floating around cyber space totally redundant. Being around poetry forums for a few years I can give my own thoughts for what their worth.
If I was to open a forum I would keep it simple join and to navigate. Just three boards=
Poetry
Short stories
Discussion.

More boards could be easily added later if there is a demand for them.
I think it’s a mistake to set up too many boards on a new site. It’s confusing to members new to writing poetry to know which board to post on also if there are a number of boards that are totally devoid of posts, what is the point of having them on the forum in the first place?

Sorry your site didn’t work out but kudos for trying friend.

Cari.

Thank you Cari, but I doubt I'll try another poetical site.

Yeah, I think you need a group of keen guys to get one going, I imagine it’s a real demand on your time to handle everything by yourself. As for me I just haven’t the time.

Not many Model 'A's on the Interstates either guys. Everything has a time and then it passes, poetry sites, cool old cars, you and I.

But of course, you already knew all that.

More feelings and fewer words please

I have nothing but gratitude for the people who try to set up and run these things. Glad you didn't really trash your work. I send mine to the "cooling off bin" for a few weeks / a month(s)...
Enjoyed
Thanks
Pete

Thank you, Pete. I had it the way I wanted it, but it all got turned around. Don't resent what I had to do, it was just so very, very unexpected.
