While there get them to take you to eat at the Gristmill Resturant in Gruene (Green),Tx,
15 or 20 miles south of Austin.(http://www.gristmillrestaurant.com)
- Actually a suburb of New Brunfels - You'll love not only the food, the atmosphere but the walk-about in Gruene. Lots to see/do.

Huge place - and walk-about in the restaurant - lots to see in the layout, inside and outside, and they don't mind you wandering through.  Well worth the visit. Unique!  And prices are reasonable.

We have gone there for our anniversary dinner
for the last few years (Dec. 23rd) - even though it's a 200 mile drive, then back home for Christmas.

Hi friends! Wish I was in Austin now. I have heard that the wild flowers are in full bloom and the sight is extraordinary this year! I have seen photos on face book and it is beautiful! Thank you Lady Bird Johnson! ~L
