Fair to middlin' of nowhere

My boss of 14 years will be taking on a new position next year and I will no longer be her secretary and assistant.  We will still be in the same building, but I believe that will be all we will have in common.

If I miss you now
before you go,
perhaps it won’t
be so bad
once your gone.
In those quiet times,
when you come to mind,
and I realize
how much you’ve come
to mean to me,
I can’t help but shed a tear.
You are so amazingly you,
I can’t help but wonder what I’ll do.
You have me convinced
I’ll be fine
and find a way
to muddle through.
So, maybe if I do
a little sad at a time
about you now and then,
it won’t break my heart
so hard
that things will never
quite be the same
my friend
and fearless leader.

She has seen me through a lot. I can't think about it  without weeping. I gotta get a grip!  ~L

You'll find that "grip."

It's nice to have someone you work for as a friend! Friends are where you find them!

If I were more than I am, I'd see things differently instead of the same all the time.

Yes it is, but it isn't like we hang out. I'm not worried about getting along with her replacement, I'm worried about not getting along without her. Thanks for commenting. ~L
