Nearly all the Soap Operas in the UK have a pub for the characters to discus and moan about their love problems. Not in my pub they don’t. Start a conversation with “I’ve got a problem with my love life” and you would be on your own. If any advice was on offer it would go some like this. * * * Now don’t yer go a’looking backwards What’s done is done, the die is cast No good can come of ponderation It’s over now it’s gorn and past ~ There’s a’doings out there to be done No good staring at the wall Finking things you auter done That’s no bloody good at all ~ You ad it made with Mary Jane A luvley canny gel Yer dumped er for that scrawny malt Who made life a bloody hell ~ So get a grip and loosen up And get your arse in gear The moving fingers bloody rit Now go and git the beer. * * * |

Big smiles, Cari! Brilliant I would say. The only Italian soap opera I watch sometimes has indeed a café, where all the characters seem to spend a lot of time to share their dramas ... and I noticed that drinks remain always mostly untouched while they chat and chat on ... so you are right "get that beer!". Sometimes I wonder what else will they invent ... but all in all it is pure boredom! Instead, your poem is very vivid and cute.
