rummage intensely
into your bottomless
hover above the yawn
put there to conceal
what you need to find
sink into it, below yawn
and seek out integrity
and truth buried deep
your integrity and truth
the whole sum of you
recognize and accept
allow the real you to
mingle with your soul
soul we all have even
though aren't religious
inner spirits is our id
making contact with
your bottomless gives
you sincerity and gold
as you come away from
the yawn with new-found
sets of thought principle
you are now more ready
for the everyday zingers
which attack and sting
you have armor anew
for you have rummaged
intensely and found the
complete and bolder you

Good post Jerry P. I wonder how many really did yawn, not at the words you wrote, but the word "Yawn" repeated in my minds read. I actually did yawn. Now I have to go back and practice the steps you proposed. Smiling here, Jo

Hey Jerry! This is really great!
A real good look into the inner self and coming away with a new found strength.
We can be down on our self but we can also be
proud of the good that we find, sometimes not even realizing it was there.

Loved it!

Lots of truth in it.

Thanks a lot, Eric. So happy you felt this poem. I basically have a positive attitude, but in my case it is very easy to slip back in the a defeatist mind-set. Again, thank you.

Hah! That is very funny Jo, but you are right about seeing the word yawn or seeing someone yawning cause absolutely cause us to yawn. I'm yawning

Hi Jerry.  Not many people bother to "rummage intensely" but in your case you did and you found the benefits.  I didn't yawn because I know it takes a lot of work to get "beyond the yawn".  Still, I reckon I've already done the work although perhaps not enough and not hard enough.  Good one!

Appreciate your thoughtful thoughts on my poem, jjote, and while you are in "that strange world of nightmares and dreams," to find the new you, give it a smile and a fist bump.
