Fair to middlin' of nowhere

0 posted 2015-12-28 07:01 AM

In a mili-moment of clarity
a concept was conceived
that nudged me gently
an inth off indecision.

Too much had been written
about too many topics.
Poems were here and there
in no particular place.
I could not even begin
to pretend to know
where to begin
to put them in
some kind of order.

I’ve been in a quandary
of substantial standstill proportion.
There were no thoughts
of finishings in the beginning.

Now that I have come to face
my inevitable ending,
I realized I didn’t have a beginning
to the words of my living.

Today an idea dawned on me
about where I come from,
the things I feel and see;
how those influences of heart,
are what inspires me.

Then I finally knew
the words I’d been looking for
and where to find them.
I was freed of indecision.
I had a clearer vision
of where I want
my next steps to fall.

Ahhh . . . are we thinking of a book of your poems, m'Lady!? After all this time methinks it's about time. I'm probably wrong, but . . .

lets just say I'm no longer at a standstill... I have a concept for compiling and arranging a selection of them. That is BIG for me. ~L

Exactly! Just short of an epiphany, self-realizations can come in little drips or a waterfall. Whatever is on your mind Miss Lori, if its legal...go for it and let nothing stand in your way!

Okay, let's talk about that snow you've been yammerin' about. Are you inundated yet?

She told me "play one for your supper Danny and maybe you'll get breakfast".

Well Tf,
Only a trace of snow so far, I'm disappointed.  Day isn't over yet though... ~L
