you unbuckled my memory
as I removed my Stacy Adams*
and shoved them deep inside
your closet, where I caught
the scent of loose dresses
and wandered into your smile
and your welcoming façade

*Back in tha day, Stacy Adams were the hip
footwear, and they still are in my opinion.

"Facades" are supposed to 'dress up' an otherwise unattractive or 'structurally' bland area.

Metaphorically, it makes me chuckle a bit at what may have been a unique experience for you JerryPat. I'm seeing you stuff your 'Stacys' deep into that closet quite clearly.

88's friend, and again, its great to have you back!

Heh.Heh I wondered if anyone would snap to the Stacy Adams line Ticklefingers . . .

I meant façade to represent a false front even though playing the game.

Thank you for stopping by . . .

Such an intimately involving moment you painted here, Jerry. I love this. And the last two lines are powerful and tell so much.

Margherita, I am always desirous of your thoughts concerning my poetry. Your way with words capture, for the most part, what I wish my poem would mean to its readers. Thank you.
