Shadow~Speak

In dappled light
of spotted gold,
between the here
and far away,
where soft wind
carried your name
to my breast,
and desire curled lips,
Lost..in the shadow
of your smile

We clung sticky sweet..
full with wine and whimsy,
I knew the song of your body..
all requests obliged
within the shadow of your smile

I brush your whispers
from my hair,
they return in the night.
Remnant prism's of you..
shards of glass in the sun,
gathered in the tails
of my panoply blouse
rubbed shiny against my hip,
I remember the shadow
of Our smile

Romantic reflections with tasteful use of a great standard.

Also, you deserve thanks for acknowledging, by title, the inspiration for your poetry.

Here's to you and here's to me and should we ever disagree, here's to me!

This is wonderfully romantic, the shadow of one's smile captures so much.

Very nice writing!

grand-fine Romanticism ...

What an especially great line!:

"I brush your whispers
  from my hair,
  they return in the night."

Oh boy! I'm gonna need a cold shower...quick!

Just enough time left to tell you how much I REALLY liked your poetry!
