The dawn breaks orange through a sullen sky, casting an autumn tinged light on turning leaves and damp streets. The last of the warm moves ahead of the cold front coming in. Migration careens above the open fields and covers the open telephone wires with chirps and squawking. Shriveling jack-o-lanterns sit abandoned on cob webbed porch steps. The grocery store is advertising pumpkin pie filling, two for the price of one. LGRĀ©11/3/15 |

kids on their way to school have this weather thing figured out...they wear their jackets with shorts! I like pumpkin pie, but I must eat enough of it during the holidays that it takes a year before it sounds good again. ~L |
