One Forever-Thread Just beyond the crimson sunset and a deep velvet-blue twilight, when the moon is a silver lantern hung upon an infinite tapestry of tremulous stars, would that I might write the grandest poem ever done, with a magic Phoenix feather pen, that would rise and sail far above this grasping world of men, to touch the heart of one who lives now only in my finest dreams; then somehow, it would make all the difference, and bind two hearts in love with one forever-thread. --- b. e. adams (10/4/2015) |

I'm very much liking the sensitive "Phoenix feather" which writes such warm, savory poetry. While perhaps not looking, you've stumbled upon an ear along the deep forest path. 88's friend She told me "play one for your supper Danny and maybe you'll get breakfast". |

well ... that's certainly grand! ... I have MANY 'critics' who claim I write nothing but "Happy, smarmy Romanticism that amounts to nothing more than pseudo-sentimental syrup-dipped tripe" as one of them put it. I strongly disagree with him; however, that was really rather good writing on his part! |

I'm not an apologetic defender of anything I write SHDP. But I staunchly defend anyone's right to do so! Its a certainty that the unforgettable "critic" that badgered your wonderfully penned poetry was of high station and breeding with no need of accolades or applause. I wish I knew as much about poetry as [s]he did. 88's friend She told me "play one for your supper Danny and maybe you'll get breakfast". |
