In The Mirror

I opened an old book,
and out of it fell a four-leaf clover

Was it marking a verse?
Saved for posterity?

I surmised that it had been forgotten

And in my conclusion I realized at last
what a haiku moment was

A moment that came and left
As moments do

To be forgotten and perhaps,
in time returned to you

The gentle hand that placed the four-leaf clover
between the pages of that old book is now gone

Let the moments you and I share
never be forgotten, though they may pass

May they rest well like the clover, between the pages
of our lives, until we meet again

Keep em' tickled...!
