Houston commercial photography

Breeze is gentle over a path dappled in sunshine
as child runs around the garden no sense of mischief
chases a butterfly flitting by capricious as the wind.

Now she stands very quiet and still,
as if caught in the split second of a near-trance,
butterfly ceases its flight to perch on her nose.

Child and butterfly - alike in a separate attentiveness,
balanced and held in equilibrium by a nip of nature,
an eternity snatched in a rare and precious moment.

What a picture! What a poem! Perfection all around . . .
