I always longed to write great books
Like the Masters
I hoped to make the pages come alive with my words
In this, I've failed
And yet, I'm able to write like this
And that helps to satisfy my hunger.
But my grandson can write
His words sing from the pages
He brings a prideful swelling of my heart
Because perhaps he gets his gift through me.
And when he reads his writings to me,
I feel every emotion imagined
Because He writes!
