Moss green, in-cling n' creeping vines twist, sweet on deceit. Licked dark, like bloodied-red ~so...hearing the silence bleed...~ Stems grown in veined madness wrap firm, a beating heart-sign. Greens 'n'dried-sanguine sadness ~This image frozen in my mind~ Curled thorns, run sharp through spreading petals 'midst jade stain. Sting in Ardour, mornings after, ~still working through the pain~ Petals weep contingent pinks to blend a wishing-well of peace. Thorns, massive, on petal's seep- ~lust-pain, It even startles ..me~ "..But a tyrant spell has bound me, And I cannot, cannot go.." ~Emily Bronte 'The Night is Darkening Around Me' [This message has been edited by devina (06-16-2015 02:37 PM).] |

quote: Oh yes! This just made the words which were already read with great sorrow by me come to a shattering end. You are the master(mistress) at verse, m'Lady! ~*~ When they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

OMG... you so got all four into one poem too, I was overtaken with emotion reading this the first few times I didn't even realize it was carved around lines I had given you. I'm so spankin' you for that. That was supposed to be four poems worth you know? A pretty sharp cookie you are, sweets. Luvz ya for it. Michael |

The title drew me in... I thought one of my recurring dreams (which I will one day put into words... maybe LOL) had visited you, too. But thoughts of my dream vanished in appreciation of your words. And then, to learn that you'd woven challenge phrases so beautifully??? If I was wearing a cap, I'd tip it for you... but since I'm not, I'll just applaud. |

"Petals weep contingent pinks to blend a wishing-well of peace. Thorns, massive, on petal's seep- ~lust-pain, It even startles ..me~" Just love the last stanza, it blends the thorn-and-rose image so seamlessly. |

You paint a delicately detailed, bold colored still life that smells of roses! You vine a stem like nobody's business! ~L |
