I’m sure I’ll leave
things unsaid
when I’m laid out on
that cold, cold slab in the morgue
eh . . . weren’t your fault
O muse of mine
no, because
you were always with me
not like others
whose muse left them
for months
not so you
you told me once
it was the crazy life I’d lead
made it easy for you
to foment ideas
eh . . . still you were inspirational
and I give you thanks
You caused me to write some good
some bad
but you were always there
for that I thank you
