comfortable
or even when not so
the edge was not to my liking
much safer
I kept to middle ground
but these days
apparently less lenient
I find my path leads me closer
and the edge somehow
seems less precipitous

Hah! I was . . . Pretty much still am, an on the edge kinda guy. I don't know, to me hanging in the middle is like eating oatmeal without cinnamon, honey and blueberries . . . bland . . .

I can certainly relate... the fear we have of something dissipating to a point where we are comfortable with it, and maybe even progressing further to a point where we dance with it.  Of course, taking that sensation with "tolerance" leaves the whole outcome more numbing, than exciting.

thank you, though this was more about 'going postal' than finding new exciting avenues...I like all of your points of view better than from the one it was written from

As tangled as we are, when one nears the edge, the other prepares for impact. LOL Comfort and contentment sure are fleeting, aren't they?

Love the write... love you... miss you!!!

the only "certain certanties" are transience and change ... all is fleeting, especially 'love' ... as is the pursuit of happiness!
