It's not empty because |

The cup of coffee sitting on the side table, three spoons of sugar, a splash of creamer. Half gone in a rush out the door, drop the baby off at grandma's, to get to work, with five minutes to spare. The orange cup on the counter, almost empty, for the little boy who told mommy he was thirsty. Then running off to play, forgetting about the orange cup. The can of soda in the fridge from last week. Flat with no taste. Even though it was meant for the next day. Dad says it wont go to waste. A sink, with a few dishes soaking. Not enough for a full load, but too many to leave, till tomorrow. They will be done, just not right now. At last the coffee cup, is added to those dishes. The orange juice cup off the counter also added,to those dishes. making the dishes a full load. Fresh water instead of cold bubbless yuck. Scrubbing away todays half full cups. Getting them ready for tomorrow. When the mom will poor her coffee. The boy will say he is thirsty, and maybe the soda can will be empty. |

Did you notice the sink is never empty? At least not in my house anyway. Cute little ponder. Michael |

half full instead of half empty is a way of being optimistic in looking at life too. We don't get to finish all of our coffees, juices, sodas, down to the dregs. How is that - your poem awakens more thoughts to ponder. thanks for the share. |
