The Ocean Has a Heart Beat

I wish I could carry the whole ocean
and conceal it's currents in my pocket

Yet you never liked the ocean did you?
I Remember how the tide's ebb and flood
Would ruin those sand castles you use to make
and wash away our foot prints from the sand

But if you would have listened close enough
Perhaps you could confuse the crashing waves
With the aching sound of a broken heart
While stranded life washed up at your feet.

I wish I could carry the ocean
and conceal its currents in my pocket
