Laying on my back in the grass on an early spring afternoon watching the clouds go by. I can float my worries away in the sky and smile to myself as I think about you and I. Too early for creepy crawlies to bug me so I can have some fun dozing in the sun. It’s a beautiful day to play at doing nothing. Birds are flitting back and forth all a twitter, showing off their fine feathered ways. The animals are wooing in twos, big and small. Bees can’t wait for something to bloom so they can do their thing and pollinate. The day is perfect and I feel great. How about you and I go out on a date? We can sit out under the stars and look at the moon. We’ll listen to the night sounds as the creatures croon. I’ll light the candles and we’ll slow dance on the porch. Then we’ll go inside and see if we can light that torch. |

Hah! I don't imagine it will be too difficult to light that torch. ~*~ When they give you ruled paper write sideways. ~*~ |

the weather over here has been just like that as well.. making me want to sit by the lake in my reclineable camp chair under a tree just dozing off to sleep.. loved the torch part at the end... reminds me of the song, come on baby light my fire.. very nice |

Tickled by the thoughts this broached, my friend... Was corresponding with girl (via snail-mail - no cells back then) from a friends' home town when I was in the Navy (19 years old) and she essentially said the same as you've just done - er, you don't live in Oklahoma, do you?? - except at the end she put it as ... We’ll listen to the night sounds as the creatures croon. I’ll light the candles and we’ll slow dance on the porch. Then we’ll go inside and, and . . . "why dance?" I never got there, we've never met, but the memory is wonderful...especially in the thoughts of 'what could have beens...". j. |
