https://soundcloud.com/diana-van-den-berg-2/thank-you-for-him-and-me-and-you And here I am, going full tilt at it, again! I know You never mind my irrepressible chatter, Lord, and neither does my man. And yes, I hear Your affectionate laughter, at me, with me. I can never leave him out of my conversation for long, can I? but this time, it is only about him . . . well, and You too, of course. I know I have said this umpteen times, but I can‘t help it! The words just bubble out of me about him, as does my love for him. You really do work in the most wonderful and mysterious ways. He and I have often talked about how it would have been if we had met at various earlier stages of our lives and though we see darkly now and will only see face to face when we join You in Heaven, we truly do see Your wisdom. He and I know that we would have made it earlier but there would have been more barriers and that it is now that we are ready, and there is only one barrier left, the geographical distance, and yes, it is just one barrier, but one gasp-great one, but it is Heaven where there are no obstacles and this is Earth and so we live with that in bliss. You have given us each other, how could we ask for more when there are millions who would swap with us what we have, in a heartbeat? And what we have is the passion of leaping flames, the comfort of ocean wavelets’ song, the soul-knowledge of each other as deep as an anchor, consideration as tender as the flutter of a white dove’s wing in a summer breeze, love as earth-solid and wild and wide as eternity, a way of turning our volcanoes into music, a tremble-strong appreciation of each other and You, and the peace that passeth all understanding. Isn’t it funny, Lord, how I start with You, what I so pompously call, ‘our discussions’, and each time it is only at the end that I realise with a wry smile, that it is Your gentle and paternal way of explaining something to me, to us. Thank you for each other and our bond with You. |

Love this! I so relate to your comfortable conversational style communication with God! Your words are so infused with love for Him and him that it is impossible to tell where one leaves off and the other begins! Your attitude of gratitude is contagious and uplifting. Bless your heart! |

Thank you, Lori, for your delightful comments. I love what you say. And I am SO glad that my attitude of gratitude (love that . . . attitude of gratitude - I wonder if you realised that you were rhyming, lol!) is contagious and uplifting. Bless your heart too! Owl |

Thank you, Martyjo, for your happiness for me. You are such a sweetie! Yes it is lovely to have such a wonderful love and soulmate. However, it isn't terribly new - 7 months now - though it has been a bit of a rollercoaster ride - but more ups than downs, though the downs are devastating for both of us, but we seem to be overcoming them, and they are becoming less devastating as time goes by, and our bond and our happiness are growing by the day and we are both learning a lot in the process - one thing being that our break-ups are a dismal failure every time and only last a couple of days at the most (well, except for the first one near the beginning which lasted a few weeks), lol, so they really are a silly waste of time! I agree, the warmth of your soul emanates from your writings now - I, too, wish both of you the future - and really that's up to you, no matter what happens in your present relationship - sure I'd expect a down period of sorts if it faltered, but your spirit is bright enough to go on without exceptional grief, using the memories to bolster you. oops, getting a little off subject here I guess - so, shut up me! enjoyed, jimmy |

Thank you, JL. Yes, it is a very true blessing. I was about to say that it wasn't anything that I had prayed for because I had given up on all men, a year ago, and even on this one several times in our 7 months together, but, yes, recollecting carefully, it is, indeed, an answer to a particular prayer. You are right. I had forgotten. Thank you for reminding me. Thank you for your kind words. Owl |
