Little deer so quiet and meek, why do you stand in the middle of the street? Why do you seem so intent to find cars to dent? You have fields and rivers to roam. Why do you call this dark stretch of road home? Why do you go there and into headlights stare? How many deer have lost their lives? How many cars have met their demise? It is absolute craziness the way you squish and make a mess. And stay away from the highways too! It isn’t pretty what a semi can do. It is easy to see where the carcass left its mark. The blood from the collision all dries dark. So please be a dear, deer, and don’t come near. Always watch where you go. Stay away from headlights in a row. |

Sweet deer talk, Lori, would that it was heard by them and they would heed the road. Nice work . . . If they give you ruled paper write sideways. |

Its all very sad and I can relate; it is deer time here too But as sad as I am, and know sometimes we cant help but hit an animal that darts out on the road, it angers me for the moronic motorists that refuse to slow down knowing it is a road of deer coming up Thanks for posting this lovely tribute to Bambi and all little crittrers that bring us joy |
