A Dream of Joy and Sorrow The delicious taste of wood smoke and distant evening bells dances in the cold-clear air to the music of a billion, billions stars above this Autumn evening scene painted in silver frost and perfect moonlight, where only ‘shadows’ walk the empty streets like floating clouds … no resting place they are my brethren the lost ones … the lonely ones for whom love remains only the greatest dream of joy and sorrow. --- b. e. adams (11/1/2014) |

As I have likely said here before ... the 'past' is irrevocable; the 'future' as yet powerless to be born; we have only the grand-scintillating 'now' in which to paint this world in bright-delicious colors ... what better way than via 'word-paintings' as words may well be the only inexhaustible source of true 'magic' in this lovely, but sometimes oh so sad 'ol world! I do believe that 'poetry' is a 'fine art' and that all the arts 'inform' each other. |

Thank you again, Jo. I believe 'Nature' is the greatest sensei and finest muse ... hopefully there are 3 primary themes/intents carried on the cascading (natural) imagery in my 'writes' ... they are 1. giving Nature a 'voice'/environmental stewardship; 2. the tolerance for and celebration of human diversity and that of all biospheric life forms; 3. 'Universalism' ... the infinitely nested 'connectedness' of everyone and everything across all scales of observation in this lovely world and grand-scintillating universe! |
