I set out to write a sonnet With words for my love to read But my paper has nothing on it I’ve drawn a blank I must concede Words that won’t come on my command That would tell him in no uncertain terms I love it when he holds my hand And I do not fear his germs He’ll never know all the love I hold Deep inside this heart of mine It will be in vain and go untold If I can’t write a single line I’ve wracked my brain and scratched my head And still don’t know what to say My words have all completely fled Perhaps they’ll return another day Until then I will miss them Until then I just will have to kiss him |

Thank you for telling me that, it means more than you know. I use humor a lot and it is good to know it is appreciated in my poetry. I try to write light whenever I can as I am usually trying to beat darkness off with a stick. Thank you so much for being so supportive of my writing! Lori ![]() |

thanks Jo! A friend of mine really pushed me to write a sonnet and I'm so glad because I really like them now. Lori ![]() |
