Earplugs & Sunglasses On Friday nights Pippi would like to go to the dance clubs in Waikiki, the ones with the expensive light systems, the ones that played hot dance music so loud that its better to have earplugs & sunglasses. Her favorite DJ was a local Hawaiian called Sam the Sham and to Pippi he was the ultimate music man, he knew all the tricks and he played the coolest mix. Her friend Murph would surf the club, meaning he would drop his board on the floor, well more like a skateboard and then he'd make all the motions as if he was riding the waves on the ocean. The first time he did it was in a dance club in Frankfurt when he was a young lad of 18 stationed in the Army in Germany. Pippi would wear her pigtails, longstockings and all and in her spiked high heels that she bought at the Ala Moana Mall she was a little wobbly but seemed very tall. JamesLee 27April 2012 |
