Forever

Nothing is forever
or so that's what they say
the chains of passion forged in the night
are soon broken in the light of day
but if you believe that love is more
than just a carnal fire
you hold the key to happiness
that will unlock your heart's desire
for love is more than just mere words
and the pleasures of the flesh
it is the union of two souls
as they intertwine and mesh
time and distance cannot break
the bond that holds them tight
so no longer need they be alone
together they can face the night
where they can taste each others lips
even though their miles apart
as their softly whispered words of love
fills the emptiness of each heart
some say nothing is forever
but now I know this can't be true
for I can no longer imagine a time
where I could ever exist without you.

You know I've always been a sucker for romance, and poems of love. If I didn't love you already, this poem would have done the trick.
Pablo has/had nothing on you.

love,
