  November Forest Evening

All dead leaves and drifting
clouds have blown away.
The birds have vanished
from the Wintry twilight sky.
We lean alone together
these bare-bone trees and I,
in this ancient, silent ‘endless’
  mountain forest
until only the trees remain.

I do love your connection to your trees, dear Bruce. Beautiful!
