Joy was mine for a moment For a season, in the summer You were my lover Until the fall fell Not gently like leafs upon me Now I'm lonely Like long winter Whose chilled breath splinters Cutting cold through me deeply Still the fiery thought of your Bright face warms me. Lending hope as moments pass That alas the springs aspiring bloom Will blossom love Again into your heart Returning you to me Setting me free to fly High In the fine sultry song of you my summer!
