The Springtime in Your Smile Lonely grey-scatter clouds, darkest memories, and cascading sorrows skim the bleak November horizon near a pallid sunset toward the vanishing point of Time on this pensive, yearning flicker of a moment in the ‘now’ when one feels lost, like a spirit in a mirage within a dream, and reflects upon all the ‘should-have-beens’ of chance and youth misspent along the irrevocable path into the Winter of this life. Yet pure and wondrous hope rises once again from all ruins of past with the vast unedged wonder of a new love and the gentle, eternal Springtime in your smile. --- b. e. adams (11/16/2013) |
