Let my love for her be like the stars Whose light from foreign galaxies beheld Has come into our souls And let her know Like how we trust the morning Fit and fair With faithful warmth and care When darkest is the night Though it may seem To hold us in our sleep And mock our dreams The fervent radiant morning Will convey How long the sun should shine For us today To promise once again A kind return And let my love for her Like sunlight burn That in the warmth thereof She'll happily bathe And let her know In her I have much faith To learn what tender care For her I hold And may the universe This truth unfold Into her heart And by it so be told Though we're apart My thoughts are still immersed In only her! The levy of my verse! |
