Detachment waits there, over there, there, there, beyond that river of tears and the one on the bank shivers fearful of uncharted waters. She searches within her baggage of soul for a lifeboat that says, “let go” for surely there must have been a time when raging waters were crossed. She’ll find it perhaps in times long gone but this life has stolen the past and she must again learn the art of paddling her own canoe. Will she survive? Perhaps, perhaps, but we won’t know until she steps in that lifeboat or simply her will that hasn’t as yet been found. And if you should pass that way one day please tell me if you find her there or whether intact she made it across those raging, raging, waters. But you won’t know because you can’t write her last story line but if you could, if you could, did she intact survive? Helen / 3 March 2012 |

Sometimes the final story must be written by the one who has lived it, Helen. We can eep our eyes out for her and assist her through the raging sea of detachment, but ultimately, it is her who must grit up and do the doing for herself. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

There are rarely last lines, just new ones beginning. |
