If Once If once I had a vision, I assure you I don't now; Clamored up, with indecision Furrrowed deep unto the brow. If once I had a purpose, Well I must've lost that, too. All that lies beneath this surface? Fading images of you. If once the sky opened above, And the world, itself, stood still... While an angel adorned me with love, And I lost my free will... I assure you it's but storms now That drown me in their sorrow. Yesterday's chill, it won't allow Procession towards the morrow. A morrow believed in, if once, When seasons still held sway. Now Time's very concept affronts All beyond this cursed gray. And so I cling to memory, Never having moved on... If once I had somewhere to be, I'm guessing it's long gone.
