My daughter's wedding day is today.  She and her groom will share their vows as they hold their Oathing Stone together.
Oathing Stone Sonnet

Hands clasped as one about the Oathing Stone,
Where dreams of each beget a common bond,
To have and hold a union to be sown
With strength to thrive this day and those beyond.

Whence future days of wedlock now begin,
As two profess one love that knows no bound,
Henceforth all hopes and dreams are cast within,
And sunderance forevermore unfound.

Betrothing steadfast keep that's ne'er to part,
These vows shall be forever etched inside
This stone to firmly hold love heart-to-heart.
Within the Oathing Stone two hearts abide.

Now each as one a covenant of both
Herein enjoins a livelong Solemn Oath.

Ahhh . . . Martie and I must have been reading your poem at the same time. A great sonnet for the bride and groom.

Beautifully done, Nan.  A near perfect rendering to bless the young couple.  You still got it!  And gratz all around.
