Fair to middlin' of nowhere

He is my trellis
And I the vine
A delicate thing
At the mercy of the wind
Dancing flaming petals incessantly
And should I lose him
My fate to befall
The accursed earth
A blooming briar
Twisted in pain
Beauty
Overgrown
With
Grief

Oh boy. This one is naked and all alone  within the throes of ecstasy and despair about what if. But I think things are probably better now than you thought when you wrote this poem, and that is a GOOD thing.

Well, I'd like to tell you how it turned out but then that would spoil it for the other poem Roses.
I will say that I do have more roses now than I did then.

beautiful poetry as always, I like to sit and not really ponder the words but sound upon the body into thoughts.

the rose bleeds through your poetry in living color with all its glory, the beauty and the pain

This is lovely. Sad, but lovely.
And the format of the words adds depth, I think.

inside these eyes of mine
until my tears fall
unto my tainted hear
