searching for the innocence
gone so long ago
tucked away in silence
never learning how to grow

a grown man lost in wonder
a little boy inside screams out
save me from this torture
let me roam about

watching from their towers
they see them come and go
beware the wicked wonders
become the star of their show

keeping the candles burning
if only for their names sake
"approaching the returning"
as the angels begin to awake

Ahhh . . . You found my scream for help so many years ago with this . . .
quote:
a grown man lost in wonder
a little boy inside screams out
save me from this torture
let me roam about

It took me two decades to come to grips with who I was. You have an inner depth and I am overjoyed to discover it.

Thank you for stopping by to read ... my inner depth scares me sometimes and I really love the outlet that writing poetry gives me, I am glad you enjoyed this!

Take care and be blessed!!!
