where the wild flowers grow

If I could tell you now,
I would..

I would say that you made
me feel I was worthy,
that you nurtured the words,
you made me feel heard.

You helped me grow,
your lines danced around me
from my youth until now
you fed me with beauty.

If I could tell you now,
that you changed the way
I see oceans, gardens,
and a tree's gentle sway..
I would...

But I have a feeling
you already know.

So very beautiful and poignant, dear Kaoru. Yes, I am sure she knows of your love and gratitude.

Hugs.

I love this, love you, love her...

Love as a verb...

I'm certain she heard you.

Kaoru, this is tremble-beautiful.  I know Helen heard you and loved your poem and she must have felt just as blessed to have you for a friend as you feel to have had her as a friend.

I didn't know her very well, but I always read and responded to her poetry when I saw it and we only exchanged a handful of emails.  I know how shocked I feel at her passing - I can't begin to imagine how you must feel who has known her so well for so long.

It just feels so impossible that she has gone, although I know her presence here will never leave.

Hugs

Well, I have no favorites on this subject - other than Helen of course.  I think it's wonderful that everyone is writing to/for/about her, and beautifully so . . . so I'm just going to add this to everyone's piece so you'll know I was here, read, and experienced again, the tears for her...

She made me feel the same way...that my poetic efforts were worthy.  Thank you for your heart felt tribute to her.  I'm more aware than ever...that there are only so many tomorrows.

Be well Kaoru.

Meg...thank you for remembering Helen
in such a heartfelt way.

She was so dear to so many of us...

the others will just have to catch up
with her

and you.
