Fair to middlin' of nowhere

I am not one
for gawking
at lobes
However these days
they do plenty to 'em
to get 'em gawked at

Even though they
were regularly ringed
My own earlobes
went unnoticed

Until one particular time
on wrinkle patrol
I happened to notice
a crease in mine

Of all the lines
I already had
that told the miles
crows feet and smiles
This one screamed
old, shrivel and scorn

Grateful was I
to see my mother
and that very same crease
upon her ear as mine
And smiled to know
that this  new line
came special from
whom I was born

Very nicely put revealing the benefits of the sage of wisdom matured by time.
