Fair to middlin' of nowhere

It isn’t much
by some standards
It'll never grace
the pages of a
Better Homes & Gardens
It seems there is always
something it needs doing to
But in my little piece
of prairie paradise
all that matters
is what it means to me

The front porch calls
me out of my early morning bed
to hurry the coffee along
The coolness is sweet refreshment
to sip along with the waking song
of bird's chirps, tweets and trills
I hug my morning mug and smile
at the colorful flits from tree to tree

My modest green thumbery
always has a bloom or two
to delight my view
The casualties have been few
this season I am pleased to say
I have preformed successful
emergency transplants
Rescued throwaways

I have some simple danglings
that can twirl on their swivels
letting the sunlight dance on
their copper colored finish
I have six faux candles
in various heights of white
that flicker realistic yellow
in the moonlight
I put them here and there
playing with their ambiance

I have other objects d'art
around and about
an eclectic collection
from hither and yon
to stop my eye
for a pleasing moment
as it passes by

Tension seeps from every
breeze blessed pore
slipping away silently
between the cracks
of the boards
on my front porch floor

The last stanza capped a wonderful, descriptive and excellent journey through your porch and the thumbery's, the dangling's, candles, and all that make a geehaw day. Geehaw, in the old south meant to "get along." I hope your days will be forever blessed with geehaws.

I guess it could be, Lori, I guess it is a silly word. I could have done better.
