OF MEN AND MICE
21 June 2013

There has always been
something
that has whispered to her
in the history
and geography
and mathematics
and biology
and languages, body and spoken,
and poetry
and social graces
of things
about the sunlight
and shadow
that dance
and meld
into the smile
that is wisdom
to know
amongst a million other secrets
that it is the little things
that tell
who is a man
and who is
a predatory mouse.

well said indeed !

there are (unfortunately) apparently a rather large number of "male monsters"
of various stripe 'out there' in the double-post modern' wilderness.

hopefully though, there are also, though perhaps a 'vanishing breed,' a few of
us chivalrous 'incurable Romantics' left ...

Yes, hopefully, Bruce.  Thank you for your kind words.  Smiles.

I think I will stick to animals in the future - mine and everyone else's I meet and strays.  They are not duplicitous and are open, honest, true and kind and nary a one, neither mine nor anyone else's nor strays, has ever let me down, nor will.

It can be difficult to tell, especially for me, as I tend to project my needs onto the most convenient "squeak"!

Giggles, Karen.  Sometimes, though, mistakes aren't regrettable - and wonderful while they last . . . Smiles.
