      Listen to the Rain

Truly listen to the rain,
rock upon rock, tree after tree,
softly chanting to the soul
in the untouched elegance
of this deep mountain-forest,
under a vast, resplendent
  cloud-swept sky.
Walk here alone with your
thoughts and your dreams
along a pathway to nowhere
  save eternity,
following only in the footsteps
of ancient spirits and of time,
until you meet your heart.

Artistically done, and beautifully crafted, Bruce. Could almost feel the raindrops as they fell on my shoulder . . .

Oh, my goodness, Bruce! I have always, I do and I will always! This is wayyyyyyyy beyond the realms of beautiful! I have said this many times before about other poems of yours, but this is (until you, in my humble opinion, surpass this one, which doesn't seem possible), my most favourite favourite of yours!

I love the song of the rain. Especially when I am in the woods and it rattles the leaves. Love that and this poem
