Sharing Love Forever

Standing at waters edge
I reach out across oceans
because I have fond
memories of her...
For her own reasons
she chose to leave me
and I receive her choices
and I respect her choices
and I must live with those choices
even when they are not in agreement with mine,
still I know a part of love is letting go.

"When I speak of letting go I speak of the
attachments of a relationship."

As I go on with my life
should she make other choices
and should she choose
to be close to me
and not so far apart
I will always be holding
her love close to my heart,
because I choose to love you Suzie
even though a part of love
is letting go.

"The love that we shared yesterday
is the same love we share today
and the same love we will share forever."

Your heart beats in your words here, dear James. You can and will cherish this love forever for what it has been and also for what it could be, but without that kind of attachment that brings pain.
