BUT THEN
29 April 2013

There are moments when
the world stands still
and the whispers
in the rustling leaves
pause in shiver-awe
and I forget to breathe
because your eyes
hold mine
in mesmerised
hover-flight
and as your lips
descend
on mine
I die
a thousand, thousand
arched-back deaths
of
wild-heart ecstasy.
