LEATHER TOUGH
22 March 2013

Though they hadn’t spoken
for over a year,
there were still
those silent
parallel
messages
they sent
winging
across the triple blues
and whilst
his purpose
was to distance them

he sent them
only
when he
looked
up
and over
and into
the triple blues and
chose
to read
her melting response
to his cold
and wild wind
billet not so doux
in the annals
of forever blue
of which,
as he well knew,
she drank
the exact meaning of
every reference,
in each otherwise obtuse dreg,
better than any,
and so they were

still

in
eventual
roaring highway
fusion
and his heart
was softer
than he ever knew.

This one sheds a tear thinking of one so sweet receiving such.  So sorry, but, um, I still enjoyed the poetry.

Smiles and lol, Bob, and thank you.

For the record, I actually meant "billets", but by the time I noticed my error, it was too late to edit.
