I felt a wispy feather in the wind a whimsical breeze softly touching my skin. I was a bird in a cage hoping to sing waiting to fly upon a broken wing. Whispers of love I had stolen for you inviting and hoping to start anew. Like a bird wanting to dance in the trees I felt the spring fever of lovers breeze. I waited for you to unlock destiny's door inviting to fly away with you and soar. Freedom was above the mountaintops above the clouds where there are no locks. I waited for your wingspan to lead the way but my broken wing was not meant to stray. ~Victoria~ I was adored once too. |

Interesting and well written sonnet, and I really liked the broken wing as a metaphor. ~*~ If they give you ruled paper write sideways . . . ~*~ |
