Distilled Embrace

Tumbling from my lips, that warmer ways conspire
Aligned in noted quizzical and confident desire
Enigma be my music as these memories prevail
To render to this space and page envisions sweetly trail

The years have passed in silence, since last I touched your heart
And ceased, the gentle call of wild; and ceased my steadfast part
At times though half-light lingers, in squint revives the dream
That silently remembered, a wish sent forth redeem

Three stanzas sign my heartfelt hopes, sent forth upon the wind
To reach the destined points of all return in moonlight blend
Then tumbling from my lips, beseeched and closer still
The most and all that should be said, and held against my will

Ah . . .
quote:
Three stanzas sign my heartfelt hopes, sent forth upon the wind
To reach the destined points of all return in moonlight blend
Then tumbling from my lips, beseeched and closer still
The most and all that should be said, and held against my will

This, then is the essence of this beautiful and well-written poem. And those wishes sent forth to redeem with find its place front and center.
