. There are red flags Waiting outside Saint Petersburg To bring it all to an end Oh Beautiful You could no more be a soldier Than a white dove with fragile wings However capable flying over the silver moon A uniform on with its sense of gown That gaze in your eyes the awe of stars Perhaps seeing more now of what’s in store Just beyond this sunny summer afternoon The sound of guns mixed with hate Cries of pain corpses in the street The fall of grace into terror’s dominance Murdered in a cellar at twenty-one .
