The windswept hair of mother nature
auburn and rustic brown,
dances to the song of bluebirds
as it cha cha's across the town.

Her hair dances within the chestnut breeze
as acorns drop... drop... drop...
and naked branches sway and tease
as burning ashes pop... pop... pop...

Mother natures hair will grow again soon,
during month of the April rain
hair as long as weeping willows,
an emerald crown and lustrous mane.

Rays of sunshine color golden streaks,
in her windswept hair as summertime peaks.

I don't know if this can be called a sonnet because the first and third of each stanza doesn't rhyme, Victoria. Whatever it is called, I call it self-fulfilling and prophetic, as the windswept hair of the earth will, as the poem so expertly said, will return in its former glory . . .

Yes its crowning glory, maybe I should have said that instead of emerald crown...Yes its a sonnet as long as the second and  fourth line rhymes...I usually dont go with AABB. I like ABAB OR ABCB. I appreciate your kind comments as always dear Jerry.
