My wish is for you to feel the moonlight
shine upon your hair, the way the sun
shines upon the morning dew; melting
the taste buds of another day.
And gardenia, creamy white,
stirs the air with an afterglow,
an afterglow of the night before,
and you are my bird of paradise
in the exotic vase of rapture.
As the breath of the midnight wind seals
your lips with a kiss, forever to hold you dear
to the cleavage of my breast,
close to the beating of my heart,
I count the minutes until we meet again.

Got my attention to cleavage of your breast. Sorry about that, Victoria, that's just me. I have been where the kiss means everything, and I sat there waiting for the rose to bloom again. Beautiful poetry!

Awesome.

Got my attention, but unlike Jerry, was not the cleavage lol...but rather the rapture. Got me thinking and well...read my "Cloistered Pearl" (if I may suggest...).

CG...I liked the until we meet again part.
I try to write other types of poetry but I keep returning to this boring stuff haa.I'm glad you enjoyed though and now I will read your poem.

Actually I didnt see it as smouldering I thought it was just warm and tender. But as I am reading it again I can see the smouldering part now ha!
