her mothers floral dress |

She felt the small touch of the roses bottom the one under the small plot of dirt that her mother use to dig her hands into until the crevasses of her hands became small white blemishes next to the rays of the sun that shun down over her crouched body. She wore her favorite floral patterned dress seemingly easy, seamed perfectly along her hips with the midsection a bit faded, worn in leaving the summers run a ways off from country road into a garden, a small rose that touched the roots of her feet up to where her hands felt the paths of dirt, winding around to a garden that we all have seen before even when the wind speaks under its earnest breath of the clouds slow wake under the suns rise, each and every day. |
