Standing against the wall at the party I see you across the way Wishing you would ask to dance with me I think your coming to me and I see your asking someone else to dance As I watch you dance with her I picture in my mind it is me I can see your arms holding me and touching the small of my back as we twirl around the dance floor to a slow dance Then I come back to reality Your still dancing with her And ignoring me I guess this is the way life goes Me still wanting to dance with you and it never happening When the family is together, the soul is at peace - Russian Proverb |

Wallflowers "R" Us is not a good way to be. Plus there is no reason to be. This is not the Victorian age, women can, without social outrage, ask men to dance too. Either that or cast your eyes elsewhere. ~*~ If they give you lined paper, write sideways. ~*~ |

Maybe some other man is dreaming of dancing with you and is as shy as you. Jerry is right, the ladies have the freedom to ask men too nowadays. You wrote this well. Margherita |

You'd be surprised how many others would have danced with you had you only looked their way. Try it next time and shine brightly. Smiles, ms.e |

Thank you for your comments! Yes, as you can see I am a very shy person. This always happens to me at parties. Maybe one day I will come out of my shell. When the family is together, the soul is at peace - Russian Proverb |
