She use to wear a soft shirt for her aunts admiration They wore the words from Rome across their chest button down easy streets through the corner buildings like live wires through the open fields of the soft desire She wore her admiration as if her aunt was still there the auburn flavor those strands that seemed to carry through the fields with their soft sleeves across a mans heart like a woven string pursed across the lips of a woman's broken heart They use to shy their eyes like the shadowless tide that came on the eve of night A soft shirt like her aunts grandiose in its cut as the pillars of the earth came from the arch of the sun. |
